Description

This cream priest chasuble makes the Eucharist its sole subject — not through a single symbol but through a full composition that spreads across the front of the vestment in gold, drawing together chalice, wheat, grapevine, and the sacred IHS monogram in a sustained statement of what the Mass is and what it offers. On the front, the eye moves from the radiant IHS host above the chalice, down through the sheaves of wheat and the spreading grapevine branches, to the grape clusters at the hem — a visual narration of the Eucharistic gifts from their identification with Christ through to the fruit that becomes his Blood.

The IHS host at the top of the front composition sits within a radiant halo of gold rays, the cross above the letters giving the monogram its full devotional weight — the Holy Name crowned by the cross on which that Name was inscribed above the crucified Christ. Below it, the chalice rises with the quiet authority of the central vessel of every Mass, its gold embroidery catching the sanctuary light as the priest moves through the liturgy. The wheat sheaves and grapevine that frame the chalice on both sides complete the Eucharistic declaration: bread and wine, grain and vine, the gifts of the earth that become the Body and Blood of the Lord.

On the reverse, the composition shifts from the full narrative of the front to a single concentrated image: the IHS monogram at the centre of a radiant sunburst, the rays emanating outward in gold thread against the cream ground. Where the front tells the Eucharistic story in full, the back distils it to its essential point — the Name, the light, the glory that the Mass makes present. The priest carries this image before him throughout the Eucharistic Prayer; the congregation sees the full chalice composition during the Liturgy of the Word.

This chasuble is particularly suited to Corpus Christi, First Communion Masses, the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, Eucharistic adoration, and any solemn celebration in ordinary time or on a white feast day where the priest wishes his vestment to carry the full language of the Eucharist without additional iconographic imagery beyond the sacred symbols themselves.

Priests seeking a companion piece from our Marian collection may also consider our Cream Priest Chasuble with Our Lady of the Light & OSMdL Embroidery, a beautifully crafted devotional vestment from our sacred clergy collection.

The chasuble is sewn from firm cream fabric with a V-neck collar and gold trim border running the full perimeter of the garment. The machine embroidery — including the full chalice, wheat, and grapevine composition on the front and the radiant IHS sunburst on the back — is worked in quality gold threads chosen for sheen and colour retention, ensuring every element of the embroidery remains vivid and well-defined through years of regular liturgical use.

Whether worn at a Corpus Christi Mass, carried to the altar for a First Communion celebration, or offered as an ordination gift for a priest whose ministry is centred on the Eucharist, this cream chasuble brings the fullness of the Eucharistic mystery — chalice, wheat, vine, and the Holy Name — to the altar in a single vestment of sustained devotional clarity.
