This chasuble is cut in a gold jacquard damask with a subtle woven diamond pattern that catches the light across the fuller cone-shaped drape. A vertical orphrey panel in cream satin runs down the centre front and back, edged on both sides by a gold-and-red cord and finished with a matching gold-bordered hem and rolled collar.
At the top of the panel, the Chi-Rho monogram rises in red and gold, the ancient symbol formed from the first two Greek letters of Christ's name. Below it, a chalice bearing the IHS monogram on its cup is flanked by stalks of wheat and a trailing grape leaf, with clusters of grapes descending beneath. Together the wheat and grapes recall the bread and wine of the Eucharist, gathered here under the chalice that receives them at the altar.
Gold suits this chasuble to solemn feasts, Christmas and Easter seasons, and other occasions calling for the richest liturgical colour. Parishes building a fuller vestment set may also consider our Chasubles collection for other gold and cream designs in the same category.
The Chi-Rho, chalice and grapevine work are machine-embroidered at high stitch density, holding fine detail in the lettering, the grape clusters and the wheat awns under close viewing. The damask retains its woven texture and drapes cleanly through movement at the altar, and construction is built to withstand regular use and laundering across seasons.
Suited to parish priests and celebrants at solemn Masses, this chasuble is worn at major feasts and any Eucharistic celebration calling for gold vestments.
