This silver priest stole is woven on a fine damask brocade ground, its surface patterned with a subtle fleur-de-lis motif that catches the light differently with every movement of the priest at the altar. Onto this quietly luxurious base, two devotions are embroidered in rich detail — an image of Our Lady holding the Eucharistic chalice, and a cluster of ornamental gold motifs that frame the stole's full length with sustained craftsmanship.
The right-hand panel carries the central image: Our Lady, veiled in blue, gazing downward toward a golden chalice marked with the IHS monogram, sheaves of wheat rising at its base, and an open book of Scripture beneath. The composition draws together Mary's role as intercessor with the Eucharistic mystery she pointed toward throughout her life — from the wedding at Cana to her presence at the foot of the cross. On the opposite panel, an infinity symbol entwined with a cross stands alone, a quieter emblem of covenant and eternal love that complements rather than competes with the Marian image across from it.
Below these primary motifs, the stole continues with two registers of ornamental embroidery repeated on both panels: a diamond medallion in gold scrollwork, followed lower down by a Gothic cross set within a frame of acanthus leaves and floral scrollwork in gold and deep maroon. This sustained ornamentation, worked over the full visible length of the stole, gives the piece a sense of unbroken richness from collar to hem rather than concentrating detail in a single panel.
The stole closes with twin gold fringe tassels at each end, a traditional finishing technique that adds weight and movement to the lower hem during processions. This combination of damask ground, Marian imagery, and dense gold ornamentation makes the stole especially suited to Marian feasts — the Assumption, the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and other solemnities of the Blessed Virgin — as well as to First Communion Masses and other Eucharistic celebrations where Mary's intercessory role is rightly honoured alongside the sacrament itself.
Priests seeking a stole built around a different pairing of devotions, set on a deep red ground rather than silver brocade, may also consider our Red Priest Stole with Saint Benedict Medal & Saint James Cross Embroidery, which honours Saint Benedict and Saint James rather than Our Lady.
The stole is constructed from a firm brocade fabric that holds its structure and sheen through repeated wear, and the embroidery is worked in threads selected to retain their colour depth and metallic lustre across years of liturgical use. The combination of woven pattern and embroidered detail gives the stole a tactile richness that photographs only partly capture.
Whether worn at a Marian solemnity, a First Communion Mass, or any celebration where the priest wishes to honour Our Lady's place within the Eucharistic life of the Church, this silver stole brings both visual splendour and devotional depth to the altar.
